Assessment 1: Written Assignment

The assessment submission calls for a piece of writing in which students will be asked to identify an organisation that could be described as hybrid or proto-hybrid and analyse the extent to which it deserves the label and what potential issues arise from that. Then, students have to look at current ideas around leadership and discuss the extent to which they could be applied to the case study organisation. They should make recommendations that would effectively be the generation of new theory. 

Written Assignment

This module explores the impact AI has on an organisations structure and how this affects leadership styles and practices. You’ll start by defining intelligence and AI, before examining how AI is used in everyday life and where it’s heading. You’ll consider the opportunities and risks AI presents, including why some resist its adoption.
You&#39;ll also look at how leadership needs to adapt in response - particularly in hybrid organisations where humans and AI work together. You’ll explore the skills leaders need to navigate these changes and apply leadership concepts to real-world case studies.
