You will present an interim version of your annotated lesson plan for formative feedback.

You will participate in a mock debate with formative feedback from peers and the module tutor.

Assessment 1: Oral Assessment

You will actively participate in a class-based Debate on inclusion by representing a particular position assigned to your group. This must be researched, interpreted and effectively presented as part of a collaborative effort. Each individual must contribute to the debate presentation: This will be 15 minutes duration per group, 2000 word equivalent. A group mark will be awarded for this part of the assessment

Assessment 2: Written Assignment

You will design an activity for a chosen group of learners (e.g. a mixed mainstream primary class, a class of learners with SEND in further education) that demonstrates inclusive principles explored on the module (curriculum, assessment, differentiation, deployment of support staff etc). You will annotate the teaching plan to show links to relevant policy, theory and research about best practice

Written Assignment

<p>In the module, you will examine definitions and different understandings of inclusion and models of disability, considering a national and global context. You will explore the impact these different definitions and models have on educational policy and practice and critically analyse current approaches to inclusion in a range of settings. You will develop your understanding of approaches to inclusive planning, teaching and assessment that ensures accessibility, challenge and achievability for all pupils.</p>
