Activities providing opportunities for formative assessment will generally be integrated into the teaching and learning process and apply to all components of summative assessment.  The nature of the formative assessment tasks used will be at the discretion of the tutor, to include for example, workshop exercises, quizzes, group discussions.

Assessment 1: Written Assignment

Learners will produce a 1500-word Individual Written Assessment (Learning Application Report), which demonstrates their commitment to managing peopleLearners will discuss work-based evidence in their Learning Application Report which relates to the learning outcomes for this module. Evidence sources may include; video/audio extracts, written statements, project plans, observation reports, presentations, feedback from manager, supervisors or peers, papers or reports written by the apprentice, performance reviews.Learners must reflect on the application of the module content to the work-based evidence

Written Assignment

<p>This module will help you understand how to manage people. You will learn about talent management from recruitment through to coaching, mentoring and performance management. You will understand how to use data to identify development needs of other people. You will learn about communication, influencing and negotiation which will help you to motivate people but also manage conflict when it arises. You will do all of this within an inclusive culture based on equity, diversity and care for the well-being of the team. This module will help you deliver performance with and through other people.</p>

Analyse performance data for individuals and teams to identify areas for improvement.

Coach and mentor individuals within their team.

Lead and influence the team and individuals to support an inclusive culture of equity, diversity, and the promotion of well-being.

Conflict resolution and mediation processes.

Manage and set goals and accountabilities for individuals and teams.

The continuous development requirements and learning needs of their team.

Motivate team members and individuals through collaborative activities, for example one-to-one coaching and team meetings, to achieve organisational goals.
