Formative assessment will be by means of a practice in-class test. Timely feedback will be provided to enable students to improve their scores before the final TTA. Students will also be given the opportunity to receive feedback on their understanding through questioning, regular quizzes and class activities.

Assessment 1: In-Class Test

In this introductory module students will develop essential knowledge and understanding of business finance. They will explore the fundamental principles of financial and management accounting, including understanding how to read and interpret a balance sheet and income statement. They will learn the essentials of break-even and cash budgeting and become familiar with a business’ key financial documentation and responsibilities. On completion of the module they will be able to use ratio analysis to make simple judgements about a business’ financial performance.
