Students will develop knowledge and understanding of computer systems and the principles of computing (including programming), and how these are applied to the solution of real problems.

Investigate a problem and identify the parts that are appropriate for a computer-based solution.

Design solutions using approaches that integrate ethical and social responsibilities.

Conceptualise the systematic development of high-quality solutions to problems and the techniques for implementing such solutions including the use of programming languages and data organisation.

Recognise the purpose, structure, relationships, characteristics and operation of the various components of computers, computing applications and computer network systems.
