You will extend and apply your knowledge of textile design, textile crafts, or surface design by demonstrating a critical analysis and evaluation of topic of contemporary relevance, significant to your practice.

THD3008 - Research Report

Demonstrate a systematic understanding of key aspects of textiles practice through a critical examination of current issues and contexts affecting textile industries. 

Synthesise information from appropriate sources to establish a critical framework to support effective research relating to aspects of social, environment, economic, technical, and manufacturing concerns.

Apply suitable methods and techniques to implement appropriate research.

Manage the balance of time and workload effectively

Identify a suitable topic to research, make use of scholarly secondary sources and original primary sources to develop appropriate research. 

Make informed connections between complex areas of knowledge, through a planned process of critical enquiry. 

Critically analyse and evaluate the results of the research and present the background, findings, and discussion of the research in a professional format appropriate to your specialism.
