Outline Syllabus
Students will be guided through development of a project proposal and the project process. They will be directed to conceptual, methodological and theoretical literature. Within supervision, students will be guided through the processes of project management processes and report writing.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module students will
1.
Critically review and identify an area of practice that requires further development and/or investigation appraising its implications for your role in advancing practice, care or service delivery.
2.
Use appropriate techniques to formulate a valid project question and synthesise research/quality improvement theory to design a small-scale project relevant to advancing clinical practice.
3.
Put into practice, modifying and defending as appropriate, a specified design for a project.
4.
Carry out this proposal to professional standards in relation to both competence and ethical considerations.
5.
Present the research in a report format appropriate to the nature and aims of the project and the intended audience.
6.
Demonstrate evidence of core and specialist Advanced Clinical Practitioner competency development.
