You will study advanced counselling skills, by working in small groups to explore the use of an integrative model of counselling. You will aim to demonstrate the use of advanced skills in a practical assessment. 
This module will enable you to gain greater competence in the use of the interpersonal and helping skills covered in Year 1 and to concentrate on the development of the skills used in stages 2 and 3 of the core process model (Egan’s Skilled Helper model). There will be an emphasis on practising these skills within this core process model and of relating theory to practice.
