Portfolio

You will access modules from across the University within a single study abroad programme, allowing you to develop your own subject interests. Drawing on the discipline(s) you have chosen to study, you will engage with issues relevant to your own requirements. You will be assessed by a portfolio of assessment. This will incorporate the coursework exams or assessments conducted within the modules you choose. Your marks will be collated into the portfolio and presented as a single assessment within the programme
This module will allow you to take a series of assignments in your programme of study whilst on exchange. Hence, this module is only open to students who are involved in a study abroad programme with an institution abroad. You will select a range of modules from the host institution’s programme specifications and participate in a programme of study that will enable you to meet the learning outcomes for your year as specified by your home institution. The emphasis of the module will be on material that allows for the development of knowledge and skills relevant to the analytical demands of the degree programme on which you as an individual student are registered.

Study Abroad (Outgoing)

The learning outcomes will be stated in the individual study abroad learning contract. They will be relevant to the individual degree programme on which the individual is registered and will map to the learning outcome for these degrees’ intermediate year learning outcomes. These learning outcomes and the structure of this alternative intermediate year will be included as an addition to each degree programme where students have the option to undertake a study abroad experience.
