The guided learning week activity will allow students the opportunity to plan their policy analysis assessment, and receive formative feedback on this plan, assisting them to shape their ideas and hone their research skills.
A revision lecture will allow students to prepare for the unseen examination through refreshing knowledge of relevant content, and provision of advice on tackling examination questions. Drop-ins and appointments will also be available as standard throughout the course of the module. Seminars will allow for formative assessment opportunities through the testing of ideas and fuller exploration of relevant concepts.

<p>This module introduces you to some of the key conflicts and crises in international relations since 1945, and how diplomacy has resolved, managed, or failed to manage them. It explores the impact of the Cold War on contemporary international relations and examines many intractable conflicts including Israel-Palestine, Kashmir, and the Syrian Civil War. Through synthesis and analysis of primary sources you will gain an insider’s view of international crisis management. The module is employability focused, and students will produce a policy-analysis essay, which simulates the real-world policy-advice and gives students an insight into the work of the policy community.</p>
