<p>For this distance learning module, you will examine an area of current practice under the supervision of a member of academic staff and submit a research based project which demonstrates an appreciation of the area of practice and research processes. The project design can have a variety of methodologies including literature review, audit, production of learning materials or a proposal for a future empirical study. </p>

Critically analyse practice and explicitly define issues which require investigation in order to enhance clinical effectiveness.

Produce a research based project, which draws together the above activities and critically evaluate the effectiveness of the processes involved including resource implications.

Debate theoretical concepts and strategies to plan an investigation.

Critically appraise a range of evidence and evaluate its contribution to practice development.
