Assessment 2: Practice exam/test

Formative 2 will feed into summative 2. It will provide an opportunity to receive peer feedback on a practical exercise intervention using the feedback form that will be used in summative assessment 2.

Peer feedback on exercise intervention

Assessment 1: Written plan

Formative 1 will feed into the summative 1 assessment. It will provide an opportunity to receive written feedback on the group&#39;s plan for their presentation (summative 1).

Assessment 1: Presentation

Group presentation with an element oral assessment and peer assessment. The overall mark would be made up of 80% group score and 20% individual score (split into 10% oral assessment and 10% peer assessment).

Assessment 2: Oral Assessment

Based on a case study or condition, students will need to complete a 5 minute home exercise intervention and then discuss the effects on the human body through a 10 minute oral assessment. 

Home exercise intervention 

In this module you will learn about the role of the Physiotherapist in promoting health, preventing illness and the use and prescription of therapeutic exercise. You will be introduced to the principles of person-centred care, the skills required to encourage behaviour change, alongside basic strategies to support individuals to reach their goals.

Compulsory for eligibility to apply for membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

Compulsory for eligibility to apply for registration with the HCPC.
