As the programme adheres to the Fitness to Practise regulations, professional conduct will be formatively assessed throughout the module, with the aim of learners being suitably prepared for HCPC registration on successful completion of the degree.
You will negotiate and complete a learning agreement with your clinical experience supervisor. Throughout your clinical practice your skills and knowledge will be continually assessed and refined utilising evidence-based and reflective practice to encompass the requirements for the completion of your summative assessments.

This module will introduce you to the concepts of professionalism, leadership and appropriate behaviours of a physiotherapist, including the impact of culture, equality and diversity on practice. In addition, you’ll explore the influence a physiotherapist’s role can have in patient management and the impact this can have on public health and patient lifestyle.
In addition, the principles of managing a patient by utilising clinical and non-clinical skills will be explored. Such techniques may include communication, goal setting and how patients may respond to injury or disease.
You will undertake 112 hours of clinical practice. You will develop knowledge and non- clinical skills in managing patients within this environment. You will assess and reflect upon a physiotherapist’s role in contributing to a holistic approach to patient care.

Compulsory for eligibility to apply for membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
