Learning Strategy

The module will utilise University-based lectures and seminars and learning from work-based settings. Teaching is delivered synchronously as full day block sessions is are supported via Brightspace through set tasks, discussions, asynchronous videos and recommended reading.

On successful completion of this module students will

Critical and systematic comprehension of the purpose, values, and principles of careers guidance, and appraises their relevance to own practice.

Critical and systematic comprehension of appropriate practice approaches to careers guidance, and achieves a coherent theoretical justification for them in relation to own practice.
3.
Critically reflects upon the principles and practice of group work and work with individuals.
4.
Critically evaluates and reflects on the strengths and weaknesses of own professional practice with individuals and groups, in terms of knowledge, skills and values, making use of reflective recordings and drawing on developmental supervision to do so.
5.
Demonstrates anti-discriminatory practice, and challenges behaviour and attitudes effectively.
