Assessment 1: Written Assignment

A written assignment critically analysing an existing or potential partnership between a Higher Education Careers and Employability Service and an external organisation (usually an employer or a business support agency), considering overlaps and differences between the drivers, aims and objectives of the partners and the ways in which partnership working can be mutually beneficial, located in the policy, strategic and operational environment of the HE Careers Service and linked to relevant theories and models. 

Module assignment

<p>This module focuses on the key policy, strategic and operational issues relating to employer engagement, business support and Knowledge Exchange in the context of the Careers and Employability effort and offer in and around Higher Education. The module explores opportunities and challenges for Careers and Employability professionals at the interface between the Educational and Knowledge Exchange missions of Higher Education institutions and the range of external relationships and partnerships which are essential to the endeavour. These are all considered in the light of relevant theories and models.</p>

Evaluates and critically appraises the contribution of employer engagement and business support to career development learning and IAG.
