<p>In this module you will examine the dominant patterns of education that have arisen in response to the pressures of globalisation and global institutions. You will evaluate how the dominant (neo-liberal) systems are affecting education and leading to an increased focus on education as a preparation for the workplace. You will study the knowledge economy and global competition and the resulting policy formulation related to education, training and human resource development.</p>
