Assessment 1: Written Assignment

You will produce one submission (5000 words). This will include: • a skills gap analysis in relation to 2 GPCs, with supporting evidence of practice documents and planning that demonstrate how you have critically evaluated your own practice and personal and professional development over the course of your placement. This could include – personal action plans, placement reports, evaluated observations of practice. And evidence of ongoing reflection. (2500 words equivalent)• a summative reflective report that demonstrates your critical understanding of theory and research and explains the impact of your practice in working with others and supporting children&#39;s individual learning needs (2500 words)Both parts of the submission should demonstrate your understanding of children&#39;s rights, and the principles of the GPCs and anti-discriminatory working.

<p>The programme of study will develop your employability as a graduate, nurturing your independent learning and emphasising the importance of a holistic approach to enhancing your own professionalism and practice through structured workplace learning. You will explore work-based learning opportunities to develop and enhance your ECEC practice, together with occupational and professional concepts, principles and techniques, including reflective practice and using established analytical tools. You will develop and maintain a systematic approach to evidencing and reviewing your professional learning and practice. There will be an emphasis on you setting your own work-related learning objectives and developing reflective practice to further your understanding of professionalism in ECEC, and your practice in supporting the learning and developmental needs of young children. Your development will normally be supported in the workplace through supervision arrangements.</p>
