An essay (title to be negotiated with tutor/s) that compares and contrasts different educational perspectives and apply theoretical concepts to youth and community work practice

An assignment of 2000 words focussing on a critical discussion of good practice and own learning and development within the placement/work place setting. This work will normally be supported by a minimum of 10 reflective recordings and the completed self-assessment fieldwork report

<p>This module draws on academic input and workplace activity. You will look critically at some influential concepts in the field of community and informal education. You will consider the validity and relevance of ideas such as hegemony, ideology, transformative learning, deschooling, empowerment, power and oppression. You will explore occupational and professional concepts, principles and techniques relevant to your role on placement/work place.</p>
