Trainees will continue to develop an e-portfolio, which includes lesson plans and evaluations, teaching materials and resources, examples of pupils’ work and assessment records, weekly mentor tutorial records and formal observation feedback. Mentors will observe and provide feedback and support to develop teaching practice on a weekly basis. University Tutors will undertake at least one observation during the final assessment phase and regularly monitor progress through the portfolio.

Assessment 1: Written Assignment

Trainees will carefully select a bundle of evidence from their e-portfolio to demonstrate that they meet each of the Teachers’ Standards for the award of Qualified Teacher Status. They will critically evaluate how their knowledge, skills and understanding in relation to each standard have enabled them to impact on pupils’ progress over time.

<p>This module supports your professional learning in the final assessed phase of your school based training. The module extends and consolidates your understanding of teachers’ professional accountability for pupils’ progress and outcomes, and the full extent of the role that teachers play within the wider school community and in society. You will refine and consolidate your teaching practice and demonstrate that you meet the Teachers’ Standards for the award of Qualified Teacher Status. For assessment, you will critically evaluate how your skills in relation to each standard have enabled you to impact on pupils’ progress over time.</p>
