A portfolio of attendance marks, monthly progress reports, a reflective journal, a comprehensive business model canvas (BMC) and supporting financial documents and a final pitch (30 minutes) to internal/external panel members.

Portfolio

<p>This module will provide you with the skills, facilities and support to enable you to set up and run your own business during your sandwich year. It will enable you to develop and apply your knowledge and skills, both technical and personal/social, as developed in your studies to date. It will give you experience of working in a self-employed capacity in an industry appropriate to your course and it will provide you with opportunities for personal development in a self-employment situation, especially in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship.</p>

Maintain a reflective log to help them plan what they need to do, record work they have undertaken and for whom, reflect and effectively manage the placement and company effectively.

Demonstrate an understanding of the legal, administrative and management fundamentals required to successfully run their own company, bidding for work, trading and/or providing a professional service.
