<p>The module focusses on the effective and sustainable design, management and control of material and product flows through companies and supply chains, including the role of procurement, inventory, warehousing and freight transport. It considers different situations and scenarios and the most applicable decisions that might be made in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, optimise costs and enhance customer service levels. The emphasis is on how companies seek increasing competitiveness and sustainability through a focus on meeting the specific needs of the customer and through application of the current logistics concepts. Collaborative problem-solving using real world problems will be a key focus within this module.</p>
