Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module students will
1.
Demonstrate comprehension of the IPRs in copyright, patents and trade marks and the substantive laws which govern them.
2.
Demonstrate an awareness of the competitive markets and trading practices which affect and are affected by the regulation of IPRs.
3.
Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of the varying regimes for administering IPRs in the UK and EU.
4.
Demonstrate an ability to research information as directed from a wide range of sources informed by assessing the scope and focus of questions appropriately.
5.
Critically analyse, interpret and apply the principles relating to the law with an appreciation of the weight of arguments/evidence.
6.
Work independently to write advice for clients/notional readers on the basis of a knowledge of law identified at the point of assessment.
