<p>This module aims to provide a critical understanding of sustainability and its application to the general tourism industry (including sectors such as tourism attraction, hotel, restaurant, transportation and etc).  It critically evaluates sustainable development principles with analysis of economic, environmental and social-cultural impacts. Planning for tourism at local, national and international level will be appraised in terms of the application of these principles through a range of case studies. This module will equip you with the abilities to identify issues and propose managerial implications in accordance with sustainability/responsibility, and will provide opportunities for you to develop and apply theories/concepts, sustainable principles and planning approaches to inform professional practice in the general tourism sectors.</p>
