By the end of the module, you will be equipped with the necessary tools, techniques, and knowledge for you to demonstrate your comprehension of entrepreneurship in business, and to identify and propose solutions to business and social problems.
Learning Strategy
Teaching will be student centred and involve a mixture of theory teaching, groupwork, case studies and practical exercises in order to achieve a blend of knowledge, understanding, skills and competence development.

Marshalling existing knowledge and developing new insights - the entrepreneur in economic theory; the entrepreneur in behavioural, managerial, organisational and strategic theory and contexts; theories that attempt a synthesis across schools of thought and disciplines.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module students will
1.
Develop contemporary knowledge of entrepreneurship and the entrepreneur, including classic theories and selected recent debates.
2.
Critically evaluate the role of entrepreneurs in small and larger organisations through understanding the growth process.
3.
Devise and sustain arguments about the concept of entrepreneurship and how it relates to broader and contemporary business contexts, either locally or globally.
4.
Select and analyse appropriate data and research and adjudicate between alternative approaches.
5.
Select and apply appropriate tools, information, techniques to identify and develop entrepreneurial solutions to business and social problems.
6.
Present and pitch an entrepreneurial solution in accordance with principles of ethics, sustainability, and responsibility to business and social problems.
