<p>In a modern globalised society, it is essential to effectively manage the human resource in organisations and society as a whole. This module adopts a critical perspective to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of a range of contemporary human resource related business issues and allows them to appreciate the impact of these issues at an individual, organisational and societal level. The module will help students develop a critical understanding of the challenges they will face in the workplace as both employees and managers of the future.</p>

Management Work and Society

Effectively communicate in writing concepts, theories and evidence relevant to the outline syllabus in writing.

Demonstrate an appreciation of the ambiguity and contradictory nature of evidence relating to focal topics.

Work effectively on an individual basis towards the achievement of objectives.

Critically evaluate and apply to business practice concepts and evidence relating to the outline module syllabus.

Demonstrate an understanding of and explain key concepts referred to in the outline syllabus, with particular reference to the study of management, the internal and external environment, people within organisations and the future of work, management and organisations.
