<p>The module takes a critical approach to problem solving for anyone involved in managing a business. The focus is on the development of creative ideas and the implementation of innovative solutions in functions critical to the successful management of a business. Students are encouraged to gain a greater understanding of the creative process and how it is fundamental to the evolution of business. The emphasis throughout is on the development and application of the knowledge and skills inherent in successful innovation.  The module encourages the acquisition, practice and development of creativity and innovation techniques in supervised, student lectures and workshops. Students are encouraged to critique and synthesis academic sources in order to develop a sound theoretical and conceptual appreciation and application of creative and innovative literature. Students are also encouraged to reflect upon entrepreneurial literature in an attempt to create a critical and reflective piece on their own potential to become an entrepreneur.</p>
