Activities providing opportunities for formative assessment will generally be integrated into the teaching and learning process and apply to all components of summative assessment.  The nature of the formative assessment tasks used will be at the discretion of the tutor, to include for example, workshop exercises, quizzes, group discussions.

<p>The principal outcome of this module is a fully developed undergraduate project. The module will commence with the writing of a proposal which will consist of the project title, its aims and objectives, an outline structure with the se­lected methodology, a proposed plan of work and its relationship to previous work, together with the principal references. To facilitate this, students will be exposed, via a combination of formal lectures and tutorial support, to a variety of project suggestions and a range of methods for carrying them out.</p>
