<p>This module will help students understand the ‘front of the house’ operations of a hospitality establishment. The module is designed to equip students with essential knowledge and skill in the field of managing the Front Office Department. The primary focus is on Front Office Operations; encompassing guest interaction and handling, departmental procedures and scenarios and basic Property Management System operations. Theory is inseparable from practical in this module.</p>

Front Office Operations

Develop procedural proficiency in order to appropriately respond to hospitality consumers and their expectations

Understanding the significance and role of the ‘front office functions’ and their interplay with hotel operations

Insight in the area of consumer behaviour in the context within the hotel operations framework

Knowledge of operational and procedural functions along with the essential traits required to transform into an ideal front office professional

Demonstrate capability with respect to front office tasks and procedures and requisite skills of appropriate technology systems to achieve organisational goals
