Assessment 1: Portfolio (including examples)

The formative element of this module is ongoing, with interim deadlines as per the production calendar and workflow of the moving image project(s) and specialism(s) you have elected to pursue. Universal formative submissions may include items like your group&#39;s draft proposal for your experimental project.

Assessment 2: Portfolio

You will submit a CRS which evidences that you have explored and implemented a range of research, methods, and practical skills. Some evidence may be universal to all submissions - e.g. annotated streaming links to works that inspired your project - while other evidence may be highly specific to your project and individual contributions therein, e.g. the structured notes you developed for an improvisatory scene.

Critical Reflective Summary

Assessment 3: Oral Assessment

This assessment is comprised of production team colleagues’ evaluation of each individual student’s contribution to the final film. The production group&#39;s combined numerical score for an individual student&#39;s contribution will be supported by prepared individual verbal feedback from each production team colleague. Said feedback will be delivered and discussed in a roundtable conversation led by academic staff.

Assessment 1: Project Work

You and your production group will propose, develop, and deliver a negotiated short experimental film output.

Short Experimental Film

This module is your sandbox for creative exploration and constructive risk-taking. You will investigate current and historical experimental techniques, aiming to develop a well-informed lens through which to anticipate and apply emergent moving image practice. The goal is to consciously pursue challenges beyond your current comfort zone to serve your wider development as a moving image professional ahead of your final undergraduate year.
