Advanced Performance Projects - AHD3604

Assessment 1: Written plan

Students will compose a logbook documenting and reflecting on the process. The students will discuss this logbook documentation as part of an ongoing dialogue with their director. This dialogue along with the documentation will form the continual and formative assessment.

Assessment 1 is a performance assessment involving creative work appropriate to the area of study.

Assessment 2: Portfolio

Assessment 2 is a portfolio of materials which analyse and reflect on the creative process, typically two or three written studies and/or submission of annotated working notebook.

Portfolio

You will contribute your artistic skills to the preparation of a staff-led performance , developing and extending your own skills and knowledge.  You will document the process and share the results of your analysis through reflective reports. The project will be rooted in an area of staff research and teaching expertise, and its initial focus will be staff initiated. Typical examples might include:  contemporary or classical texts; musical theatre; a filmed performance; a piece of devised work. Although the performance may be staff directed, you will be expected to take clear responsibility and initiative for co-ordinating different aspects of the process and/or for running sessions.
This module will contribute to  your personal development plan through an ongoing dialogue between you and the director in which you will receive feedback on your role within the module and will be encouraged to reflect upon the relationship between work undertaken in this module and skills and knowledge gained elsewhere on the course and in other projects.
