Assessment 1: Project work

The formative assessment element of this module is going through regular group supervisions with the tutor, where creative and technical feedback is given verbally. Students practice and participate in a self-directed joint production process. Use of peer assessment may be made where appropriate during the production process.

Assessment 2: Oral Assessment

Assessment 2 is a viva assessing individual contributions to the group project, and reflecting on the student’s own performance in the role or roles fulfilled during the module.

Assessment 1: Project Work

Assessment 1 is the individual contribution to the group film project. It is possible for the group to submit a longer film, or a series of shorter television or other screen media outputs, by negotiation with the tutor. Each submission will typically consist of the group output itself, along with individually prepared supporting documentation.

This module facilitates a major group project in fiction or documentary film or television production. Groups continue projects already developed in module AIC2425, or (subject to module leader approval) initiate new projects. The module support students through the development, preproduction, production and postproduction process. Each group will have access to a production budget provided by the Department.
