In this module you will cover the history of the British activities in other areas of the world from the early modern era to the twentieth century. You will be encouraged to take a thematic approach, looking at reasons why the British decide to leave their home over a 500 year period which will include examining religion, exile, economic factors and the development of Empire. Through this you will examine how interaction with the wider world helped shape a sense of British self.
