By completing this module students will develop knowledge, understanding and skills of how business organisations are affected by government legislation.  They will explore the main types of legislations and consider how business activities are constrained by relevant legislation.  Students will also demonstrate an understanding of how specific business organisations are influenced by different combinations of legislation.  They will also demonstrate the ability to interpret summary financial information and make judgements about business performance, including profit and loss statements, cash flow forecasts and balance sheets.

Compare and contrast the legal characteristics of contrasting business organizations
