A range of homework assignments of relatively short duration are set on a weekly basis. This provides regular and detailed feedback to students so that they can build an awareness of their rate and level of progress and of their strengths and weaknesses. On-going discussions with their tutor provide the students with strategies for improvement.

Written Assignment 

In this module students will focus on topics and methods applicable to first year degree Engineering Mathematics. The work will build on the syllabus covered in the module Maths 1. Students will study more advanced Calculus, Infinite Series and Sequences, Polar Coordinates and Vectors in 2 and 3 dimensions. Students taking this module will have decided to study an Engineering degree and the examples they will be given during the programme will help prepare them for the specific demands of this type of programme.
