Assessment 1: Project Work

Critical Reflective Summary (CRS): You will submit a CRS which evidences that you have developed your assignment response through research, creative experimentation and the testing of methods of production. All practical content will be reflected upon throughout as a 1000 word written evaluation that critically analyses the response.

The module provides the opportunity for you to engage in the skills of working with narrative, sequence and edit. You will be required to produce photographs which will form a themed narrative established by a sequence of multiple images. In the production process you will be developing skills of printing images, requiring you to consider the potential of design, paper-stock and binding as important facets of production.
The module uses the context of the multiple image sequence to introduce a number of key skills that are required in the development of individual practice. The assignment is self-directed and will incorporate a range of approaches of production and experimentation. The overall focus is to promote a level of creative realisation that will build an understanding of narrative and sequencing of photographic content to an increasingly professional standard. You will be required to critically evaluate and reflect on the quality of images submitted in relation to the chosen theme and the context of the sequence of images produced.
