The formative element of this module is ongoing.  You will receive feedback on your portfolio of work/performance within the module on a regular basis.

Assessment 1: Portfolio

You will be expected to produce a portfolio (equivalent to 5,000 words) comprising of one assignment. This assignment will be available for tutor reassessment. Portfolio will include a body of drawing and design development that demonstrates investigation, experimentation and a connection to relevant textile specialisms.

This module builds on the knowledge and skills obtained during the foundation level of the course.  You will develop fluency and expertise within a portfolio of drawing and design development to support your workshop specialism in either weave, knit, print or embroidery.
You will gain an in-depth knowledge of a range of approaches to drawing and designing for textile applications through exploration and experimentation. The emphasis will be on learning through inventive, creative, exploration and experiential approaches. A wide variety of materials and processes will be used with traditional and unconventional approaches.
