There will be a minimum of two Formative assessment points within the module. These will take the form of critiques, reviews and/or presentations as appropriate.

A 15-minute Oral Presentation that identifies contexts and considerations, relevant to the Fashion Design with Textiles pathway.

An appropriately referenced written report with supporting visuals, supplemented by a comprehensive and professionally presented range of practical outputs, relevant to the Fashion Design with Textiles pathway.

The module is specifically designed to unfold throughout the final year, reflecting theoretical, technical and professional issues appropriate to your practice. It is intended to be a critical and diagnostic tool with which to examine your work and is  made up of a series of outputs that will help you to determine and contextualise the direction of your practice-based modules.
The process of reflection, research and critical analysis is vital to the module. It will help you to identify connections between concept, method, and realisation, enabling you to demonstrate the depth of your knowledge and insight into your specialism, to make informed decisions/judgements related to your practical outputs.
Throughout this module, you will demonstrate an Honours level of knowledge and understanding of your specialism through self-identified research methodologies and critical analysis to innovate your concepts into professionally realised solutions.

The inherent nature of the advanced fashion design specialism will demand broad reading of diverse books, journals, digital materials and International regulatory standards to reflect individualised project work.
