Specific formative feedback will be offered through a practice exam or test relating to assessment element 3.

Taught material will contribute an element every week to the SAIL programme (Score As I Learn) submitted via the VLE platform. 11 x 15 minutes weekly assignments (quizzes). Each assignment (quiz) will be worth 3%. Taking the best 8 out of 11 scores.

Written assignment on upstream production methods. Contains theoretical part with practical calculation.

<p>In this module we will aim to give you an understanding of the upstream Oil and Gas value chain which includes all aspects of exploration and production of oil and gas, surface treatment, storage and transportation to the downstream value chain. You will, in addition, gain an understanding of how oil and gas is priced and traded.</p>

Upstream Oil and Gas Engineering

Carry out and critically evaluate a risk and opportunity analysis on potentially new oil and gas producing nations.

Carry out and critically evaluate completion and casing and separator design calculations.

Carry out and critically evaluate reservoir simulations on estimating oil and gas initially in place OIIP / GIIP using deterministic and probabilistic calculation methods.

Have in-depth and critical knowledge and understanding of various methods of exploration, extraction, treatment and transportation of oil and gas.
