a) Environmental sounds. b) Sounds associated with objects within the game. c) Creation of appropriate acoustic properties for specified locations in the game environment. d) Create, acquire, and edit suitable sounds for the above. e) Demonstrate skills in layering and controlling sounds both spatially and temporally for the above.

a) Sounds associated with the player and their actions. b) Audio elements which adapt to game play. c) Audio elements that provide feedback to the player. d) Sound effects (SFX) creation for other non-game-play elements of the game such as menu screens, narration/instruction, level change SFX. e) Create, acquire, and edit suitable sounds for the above. f) Demonstrate skills in layering and controlling sounds both spatially and temporally for the above.

<p>This module will provide a strong understanding of methods for creating, processing and integrating audio into games. You will be able to apply these techniques to a variety of simulated games environments. Generative techniques will be applied to produce music tracks, sound effects associated with objects within games and environmental sound (such as water, wind etc). You will also gain understanding of software commonly used in this area.</p>

Gain knowledge and critical understanding of audio manipulation techniques within a game environment driven by game logic and/or game play including generative audio processes.

Produce realistic audio for characters and other objects in games and critically evaluate their effectiveness.

Produce plausible audio environments for games and critically evaluate their effectiveness.

Gain knowledge and critical understanding of the audio creation and editing techniques
for games in order to create plausible environment simulations and static objects in a game environment.

Gain knowledge and critical understanding of the audio creation and editing techniques for games in order to create realistic sound effects for characters and other moving objects in a game environment.
