Involves students completing psychological research and the analysis of data in the module handbook during practical sessions and in their own time. Tutors provide feedback to students on the handbook work.

Participate in up to 10 hours of research carried out by students and/or staff in the Department of Psychology at the University of Huddersfield (1% per hour, maximum of 10 hours).

Assessment of practical skills gained via online statistics training.
This will assess the students&#39; progress made from completing a series of online exercises submitted and signed off each week (tutor support is available if needed).

Research and Analysis Skills in Psychology

Present an accurate and comprehensive quantitative write up addressing a variety of research questions, and using a variety of appropriate analyses. 

Engage with a variety of psychology research projects. 

Demonstrate the use of appropriate methods of data collection and analysis in psychology.

Code, enter and analyse quantitative data (using a wide variety of inferential statistics) using IBM SPSS. 

Demonstrate a comprehensive and critical understanding of the differences and similarities, advantages, limitations and appropriateness of various types of quantitative research methods and data analysis in psychology.
