Written Assignment

Through the design and implementation of a project, you will evaluate your practice in podiatric surgery. Throughout the module you will be supported to develop your understanding of evidence-based practice and will critically appraise of a variety of aspects of published research in practice settings. You will also consider the utilisation of outcome measures to evaluate surgical practice.

Evaluate the merits and limitations of published research in answering different types of question(s).

Critically review a range of considerations relevant to the design, conduct and critique of applied research in practice settings to demonstrate evidence-based practice. 

Report on a method of enquiry in a format appropriate to the nature and aims of the enquiry and the intended audience to a standard for publication in a professional journal.

Critically evaluate published research from different modes of investigation.

Critically evaluate the outcomes of their surgical practice and the governance systems to support this.
