This advanced practice work placement module enables you to develop discipline specific knowledge and skills through learning opportunities within a public health setting. The placement will provide you with an opportunity to apply your insights of public health theory, as well as allowing you to apply your public health knowledge and skills in a real-work setting under the guidance of a work-based supervisor and with the support of a university based supervisor.
A wide range of placement organisations are available. You are required to identify and organise your own placement after negotiation with the module tutor. Placement organisations must be able to offer experience to meet the learning outcomes and provide a named workplace supervisor.
