Formative assessment will be in the form of verification of three case studies taken from the learner’s own advanced clinical practice by the approved employer signatory. The case studies, which will be used by the student as their resource for the open-book examination Assessment task 1, must:• Be presented on the Case Study Template• Be 1500 words &#43;/- 10% for each case study excluding references/tables• Be drawn from any point during the apprenticeship but must not have been previously used or assessed during the course• Respect anonymity and confidentiality• Demonstrate all, or some, of the knowledge, skills and behaviours from the Advanced Clinical Practitioner standard• Be mapped to the ACP standard to ensure that, collectively, the case studies provide a breadth and depth of evidence to support their examination answers• Be verified by the approved employer signatory as an authentic example of the student’s practice and that the verifier has had an episode of direct observation of the student’s advanced clinical practice during the case study. Direct observation must be for a minimum of one hour – either as one direct observation or several smaller direct observations undertaken during the period of the case study.• Be verified by an approved employer signatory who is either (i) the student’s named designated medical practitioner (DMP) or (ii) the student’s named ACP supervisor or(iii) is on a list of approved signatories provided to the University (End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO)) by the employer partner.

b.  35 minutes presentation (&#43;/-10%).
Both elements of assessment are pass/refer/fail

Portfolio

This module will focus on the End Point Assessment (EPA) of the Advanced Clinical Practice apprenticeship. The module is designed to provide independent synoptic assessment of the knowledge, skills, and behaviours of the apprenticeship standard. Apprentices will explore their own knowledge, skills, and behaviours across the Advanced Clinical Practitioner apprenticeship standard.
