Therapeutic Group Facilitation 

You’ll explore issues of assessing and enhancing the occupational participation of individuals using group interventions. As well as developing planning, intervention and evaluation skills, you’ll have the opportunity to review the ethical, legal and policy framework effecting service delivery. You’ll evaluate pertinent theory and research relating to the enhancement of occupational participation for individuals within a group and use this to inform practice.
You’ll also have the opportunity to lead practical therapeutic groups where you’ll also be able to develop your confidence and creative abilities.

Evaluate the impact of ethical issues, guidelines and legislation and policies on the delivery of occupational therapy.

Evaluate pertinent theory and research relating to the enhancement of occupational participation  for individuals within a group and use this to inform practice.

Plan and evaluate occupational therapy group intervention approaches to enhance the occupational participation of individuals. 

Deliver group interventions to improve/maintain people’s capacities and abilities, modifying a range of environments and contexts to enhance the occupational participation of individuals.
