Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this module students will

Critically understand developmental and disease processes and the ways in which these manifests in people with a learning disability.

Critically review the safety and effectiveness of care when planning and implementing care for individuals and groups of people in learning disability nursing.
3.
Recognise and safely respond to an alteration in the condition of a patient/service user from learning disability nursing.
4.
Critically apply underlying principles to the safe administration of medicines to people in learning disability care areas.
