Formative assessment involves students completing psychological research and the analysis of data in the module handbook during practical sessions and in their own time. Tutors provide feedback to students on the handbook work.

Participate in up to 10 hours of research carried out by students and/or staff in the Department of Psychology at the University of Huddersfield (1% per hour, maximum of 10 hours).

Assessment of practical skills gained via lab classes.
Students complete a series of in-class exercises (tutor support is available if needed). They show this work to their tutor and have it signed off in each lab class.

HMB2012 - Research and Analysis Skills in Psychology

<p>Through this module you&#39;ll be supported to further develop your knowledge of research design and analysis in psychology. For example, you&#39;ll explore analysis of variance (ANOVA), multiple regression, and other inferential statistical tests. You&#39;ll also learn about qualitative analyses, including, discursive analyses, phenomenological analyses and other core approaches to qualitative research in psychology.</p>
