This will include consideration of the legislation and frameworks governing the relationship of the police to communities and the extent and remit of police powers and responsibilities. You’ll be introduced to central policing issues of discretion and decision-making, evidence-based policing and problem-solving as well key policing functions. You’ll also explore essential skills and strategies to enable you to become an effective police officer and leader.</p>
