Tutorial support will be offered to assist the development of the training package. The discussion in the informal presentation (Assessment Task1) will also act as further formative feedback for the report (Assessment Task 2)Tutor feedback on a first sample of the report.

Assessment 1: Project Work

Completion of a training package designed to meet a specific training need. The training need(s) should be clearly identified. The training package should normally include between 6 and 12 training sessions of 60 minutes each.. The training package should indicate how the training will be evaluated. The training package should be presented in an informal presentation/discussion of approximately 15 minutes.

Assessment 2: Written Assignment

A report that explains and justifies the training package produced above. The report must include discussion and critical evaluation of relevant theories and their application to the training package produced in task 1 The report will explain how the package meets the training needs identified, and include a rationale and justification for the design, delivery and evaluation of the training.

<p>This module introduces the theories and practices of human resource development, helping you to understand the theoretical considerations in organising and delivering training. In developing a training package designed to meet a specific training need (50% of the module marks) and writing a report that justifies your training plans (50%), the coursework will help you to develop effective skills for developing training in the workplace.</p>
