Assessment 1: Other

Activities providing opportunities for formative assessment will generally be integrated into the teaching and learning process and apply to all components of summative assessment.  The nature of the formative assessment tasks used will be at the discretion of the tutor, to include for example, workshop exercises, quizzes, group discussions. 

Formative Assessment

Assessment 1: Portfolio

The portfolio will be made up of:
Element 1) poster describing the placement role
Overview of the company/organisation type/structureDescription of the work of the department and your roleReflection on your expectations of your placementSkills developed during your placementBiggest achievement
Element 2) Complete a self-appraisals of the skills and knowledge developed on placement using the Huddersfield Graduate Attribute Framework to provide evidence ready to share in an interview.  
Element 3) Updated CV to reflect the skills, knowledge and responsibilities developed on placement 
Element 4) based on element 2 &amp; 3 complete a 1000 word critical reflection

Portfolio

<p>This module requires students to find a work placement in a business environment – this could be private sector, public sector or not-for-profit. This will allow students to develop the skills and techniques learnt in years 1 and 2 in a real business environment and will help students develop transferrable skills to better prepare them for their futures</p>
