Activities providing opportunities for formative assessment will generally be integrated into the teaching and learning process and apply to all components of summative assessment.  The nature of the formative assessment tasks used will be at the discretion of the tutor, to include for example, workshop exercises, quizzes, group discussions.

Management Research Methods and Decision Making

Identify the standard research process, different research perspectives and the associated methodologies and data collection and analysis methods

Carry out effective secondary research and to be able to reference source material using the APA 6 referencing style

Describe the major methodological and ethical issues relating to research.

Understand the nature and composition of the UG dissertation

Conduct basic business research and present it in a professional manner

Analyse, interpret and present research data

Demonstrate their readiness to complete an undergraduate final year research project independently

Discern the difference between high quality and low quality research and the implications for academic work and business decisions
